Overview
The goal of regenerative medicine is to repair and restore damaged tissues. Techniques such as ultrasound-guided injections and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy fall under this category. In order to accelerate healing and lessen inflammation in wounded regions, platelets from the patient’s own blood are purified and used in PRP therapy. By accurately delivering drugs or regeneration materials to specific sites using real-time imaging, ultrasound-guided injections increase accuracy and safety. To speed up healing and cure a variety of ailments, these methods are frequently applied in pain management, sports medicine, and orthopedics.
Regenerative Medicine:
- focuses on healing and replacing harmed organs and tissues.
- includes methods such as tissue engineering, gene therapy, and stem cell therapy.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy:
- uses a patient’s blood platelet content to promote recovery.
- frequently used to treat osteoarthritis, ligament damage, tendonitis, and skin rejuvenation.
- involves taking blood, concentrating the platelets, then injecting the concentrated blood into the wounded area.
Ultrasound-Guided Injections::
- uses ultrasound imaging in real time to accurately position injections.
- increases safety and accuracy by making target tissues visible.
- used to administer drugs or regenerative materials, manage discomfort, and facilitate diagnosis.
